2 Minutes

My heart is so so broken over all the tragic, senseless, meaningless deaths that have occurred this summer thus far. My heart and my prayers go out to the family, close friends, and anyone else who has been affected by the deaths that have happened around us every other day, week, and/or month.

It really does and has bothered me quit a bit about the shootings that’s have occurred recently and past tense on black on black crime as well as police brutality. I just wish that one day I could wake up and there be peace on earth. No volience! No pain! No more missing the ones we love due to senseless murder.

It saddens my heart to know that so many people are heart broken and weak from the deaths of fathers, mothers, daughters, sons, sisters, brothers, friends etc. Family members are left hurt, confused about Who? What? When? Where? Why? and How?  And for some of us, the pain settles after the funeral. Then there’s those whose suffering is just beginning.

I’ve been told that “it only gets easier not better.”

I have actually teared up watching the memories of those who have died and reading the sincere acknowledgements of ones pain due to death. Seeing pictures of family and friends comforting each other in grief. I have been in deep thought about so many lives that have been lost. My discomfort compared to the family members and close friends makes me pray for them even harder. Their pain is unimaginable. I pray to God every awakening moment that God won’t allow me to feel what they feel for a very, very, very long time.

However, I will say this, call those you say you love. If you say you love someone, do more than just tell them! Show them! Go that little extra mile. Call, text, heck if you’re feeling really jazzy go over and visit. All I’m saying is reach out, 2 Minutes. That’s all it takes is 2 minutes.

Take the chance and oppurunity that those who have lost would love to relive. Don’t take for granted the time that is given to you with those who are so important to you. Those who have lost, won’t get that back. Everthing becomes memories that they have to live though to survive.

Take 2 minutes  today to reach out. Let those who you say you love know you’re thinking about them today. Let them know you care.

Because  you just  never know….

I’m Just Saying.

Let Us Pray:

My gracious Father in Heaven. I come to you broken in sadness asking that You heal, and comfort those who are broken hearted due to the loss of a loved one. Lord, God I ask that you give strength, peace of mind, and rest to those who are mourning in doubt, confusion, and pain. God I ask that you continue to order our steps. Bring family members and friends closer to one another for comfort and even laughter in hard times as such. I ask you these things, in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
