Chile I had a cold last weekend this time. My husband got me sick. I rested for two days. It did feel good to just lay up and do nothing at all. And when I say I did nothing, I did nothaaang. Bae ordered out. 🥗🌮 I caught up on some shows and enjoyed movies all weekend. 🎬🍿

Rest is so needed. It’s essential. I know there’s that saying, you can sleep when you die. We’ll I’m here to tell you I enjoy a good nights sleep and I am a advocate for rest. Honestly, I haven’t always been this way. I always felt like I had to be doing something. Whether it’s the laundry or cleaning out the car Chile. I’ve always been a busy body. There is not a thang lazy about me Chile. I love that about me. But I also love how I’m listening to my body. I know my limits. I have set boundaries, even for myself.

9 thangs that make me happy and feel fulfilled!

  1. Getting these nails and toes done Chile!
  2. Hot showers while praying and worshipping. (Maverick City and John P. Kee have been on the top of my playlist lately.)
  3. Tacos. Mmm!!
  4. Comfy, cozy in bed with my husband with a candle lit, a bed full of snacks, tv, and pillow talk.
  5. The gym.
  6. Books! Reading them. Ordering them, smelling them, and talking about them.
  7. My first sip of a cold brew while pulling out of the Starbucks drive thru.
  8. MUSIC!
  9. Cheering on my girls while their in cheer, gymnastics, and piano. My heart really smiles seeing my girls do their thang! 💕

So yeah Chile, what is on your gratitude list? What simple pleasures fill you up? When I tell you it doesn’t take much to make me happy these day, Chile it does not. I will light over a cute mug and a new purchase of lemon, ginger tea. I thank God and praise Him for allowing me to wake up healthy and good spirits. Not just for me, but everyone around me. Life is short and people are fickle. I love up on and hold on tight to those close to me. I’m thankful for the new people God brings in my life. I’m thankful for discernment, protection, opened doors and closed doors. I mean, the list goes. We can be here today and gone today. We always say life is short but a lot of time we don’t live like that. I have taken thangs and people for granted. I ain’t tryna act like I’ve always had it together. However, life has taught me a few thangs and yeah, I have an attitude of gratitude! I’m Just Saying…
