Freshman Year!

Okay so (clears throat) last week today I was officially married for a year! One year down!  We are no longer freshman! I love every moment of it! Every! It’s so exciting and I love when my husband is talking to someone and he’s like “my wife!” I love it!!! It’s like when we first made it official as boyfriend and girlfriend but ten times better! (Can you imagine how I’m blushing now just talking about it.)

Anywho being the creative person that I am I came up with a cute little idea! I promise it’s like ideas just jump right out at me at times! And did I mention that my natural curls are flawless ! (Sigh) BACK TO THE TASK AT HAND!! Like I was saying! I came up with the cutest idea!

I came up with a song list expressing my love for my husband! Like catchy, realistic words that express the feelings I feel. So here goes! This is kind of random, but ummmm if only I could sing. I’m talking about blow you out the water sing. Make you skip breakfast sing. Make you wake up an hour early sing. Make your car drive on empty sing. Sing you out your drawers kind of sing (hahaha, that was funny!) I’m sure you get what I’m trying to say….lalalalalalalaaaaa!!!!!!! & cut.

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you I spelled the word anniversary and for each letter I wrote something meaningful, things I really feel every time I think of him, us.

First, I will start by naming the songs in the order of the alphabet spelling out anniversary that I played the songs too. MMM….K!

A- “Anniversary” by Tony Toni Tone

N- “You” by Jesse Powell

N- “You Make Me Happy” by Frankie Beverly & Maze

I- “You Complete Me” by Keyshia Cole

V- “Fortunate” by Maxwell

E- “So High” by John Legend

R- “Let It Be Me” by Ray LaMontagne

S- “Like I’m Gonna” by Meghan Traine

A- “Here and Now” by Luther Vandross

R- “Love and Happiness by Al Green

Y- “Only You Knew” by Pattie LaBelle

So there you go, my anniversary song list! I love music, like love music so it was sooo many songs I wanted to chose, but all these songs I chose have meaning to my marriage and how I see my husband. So here’s next….

A- (you) Allowed me to know that love does exist in this cruel world

N- Never will I take you for granted. I will always remember through rough times, and petty arguments that you’re special. And that’s exactly how you make me feel.

N- No one has ever made me feel the way you make me feel. Now I know why it never worked with anyone else & I’m so glad it didn’t!

I- I am truely blessed by God that He made you just for me.

V- Vows we made mean the entire universe to me and more.

E- Everything we share makes me who I am.

R- (I am) Really, really glad you chose me to be your wife. (People down play, discredit and make marriage as if it’s  no “big deal” these days! But I’m honored to be a WIFE, your wife.)

S- Soulmates. This was meant. We were meant. From the first time we met we were Soulmates even before we knew it. After all! After everything! Look at us!!

A- Always! Always I will love you. My homie, my friend, my best friend, my go to, my ace-boon-coon, my main, my side, my right hand, my left hand, my whole hand clasped in your hand, my ketchup to my French fries, my man, my lover, my HUSBAND!

R- (I’m) Really happy! Most people aspire to be that! Happiness is key!

Y- You’re my REMEDY!

I love you baby.

Sincerely,

Red Lipstick
