Just Some Seasoned Knowledge and What Not!

So, what do you think?

It has really been a lot going on these days. For some, good and for others maybe not so good, unfortunately. That’s that thang called life huh?

Well, which-ever way it’s going for you right now, I pray that what I offer you is some peace of mind. Nothing major, just something to think about. Ya know, things that cross our minds that we don’t really take heed off, unless it becomes familiar to you at some point in your life.
Of course, I was scrolling on Pinterest one day, as usual, and I ran across something that really intrigued me for a few seconds. And I wanted to share it with you guys.

See, look…

Life Lessons Advice from an 80- Year Old Man…

Side bar really quick. Any one who knows me personally knows that I love me some seasoned people. You know how some people just love babies, I’m talking about loving babies before you even have babies. I love kids now, I reckon it came from me having one I am sure. Because me myself would visit a nursing home, before I did a day care. I love talking to seasoned people. Their experiences, their knowledge, etc. We don’t always have to agree with it, but to some degree it is very valuable. #Wisdom

So, this is what he said:

“1. Always have a firm handshake. (Strongly agree.)

9. Be brave. Even if you’re not, pretend to be. No one can tell the difference. (Truth.)
10. Avoid sarcastic remarks. (Good idea. Not everyone has a sense of humor.)
11. Whistle. (I can’t! Which is really weird. Once I started playing the flute and piccolo I couldn’t anymore. Really strange right?)
12. Choose your life mate carefully. From this one decision will come 90% of all your happiness or misery. (AGREE LIKE NO OTHER. LETS JUST GIVE THIS WHOLE STATEMENT A STANDING OVATION!!)
13. Make it a habit to do nice things for people who will never find out. (Good idea!)
14. Lend only the books you never care to see again. (On the money!)
15. NEVER deprive someone of HOPE! It may be all they have left. (Completely agree. Shoot, more folks need to have hope!)
16. When playing games with kids, always let them win. (I get it.)

21. DOO NOT ALLOW THE PHONE TO INTERRUPT IMPORTANT MOMENTS! IT’S THERE FOR OUR CONVIENCE, NOT THE CALLERS. (Walks off stage and drops the mic. Agree.)
22. Be a good loser. (Agreed.)
23. Be a good winner. (Agreed.)
24. Think twice before burdening a friend with a secret. (Once you tell it, you can’t untell it.)

30. Live your life so that your epitaph could read, NO REGRETS. (Yes, sir!)
31. Be bold and courageous! When you look back on life, you’ll regret the things you didn’t do more than the ones you did. (TRUTH!!!)

33. Remember, no one makes it alone. Have a grateful heart and be quick to acknowledge those who helped you. (That’s right.)
34. Take charge of your attitude. DO NOT allow someone else to choose it for you! (BAAAM!!!)
35. Visit friends and relatives when they are in the hospital; you need only stay for a few minutes. (So, true. Don’t just assume someone doesn’t want to see people because they’re sick. They may really want people around at that time.)

41. Send your loved one’s flowers. Think of a reason later. (I’ve heard a lot of woman say they don’t like flowers, because they only die, well that’s cool, for you. Me on the other hand, give me flowers now, all the flowers, I want to smell the roses while I’m living, not dead!)
42. KEEP A NOTE PAD AND PENCIL ON YOUR BED-SIDE table. Million-dollar ideas sometimes strike at 3 a.m. (To know me is to love me. I completely agree!)

49. Pay it forward! (Agreed!)
50. Don’t expect life to be fair! (I agree.)”

Now, I don’t really know if this has anything to do with what I just read, and then shared with ya’ll.  But, the internet. The internet is ruthless man. It’s pretty pathetic for real. I’ve been editing, and brainstorming, ya know, letting God do His thang and what not. In the process, I was on my phone, on YouTube, and all this that and the third was being talked about. I ain’t even gone to get into it, you know why? CAUSE IT AIN’T GOT NOTHING TO DO WITH ME!! I’m not about to waste my blog on folks. That’s not what we are here for, ya feel me? #GoodVibesOnly. I’ll say this though! People get on social media and feel some type of way about themselves and their lives based on what meets the eye on social media. Let me be the first and the last to tell you ladies, these women, the celebs, and 100K followers we follow, that always seem, ‘beat’, and perfect. We’ll guess what? I bet my bottom dollar that when they at home, they look busted, disgusted and can’t be trusted too, Mmm…k! Just like everybody else, there is no difference. Believe that! Please don’t let the hype fool you. And don’t allow the lesser of the ‘like’ key or comments to get you to feeling some type of way either. I rather my credit score number be legit. Who you know living wrong? (ha-ha!)  Can we say priorities.  And listen, forget all that, you better like yourself!!!
These days, more than ever you have to stay focused on you and what you have going on. That’s why I always try and come on here with laughter, and positivity. It’s so easy to get caught up in the rift raft of social media. I promise you, I PROMISE YOU, if I didn’t have a blog, and I didn’t care about my own passions, and goals, I wouldn’t have none of this mess. I’m trying to tell you, if you couldn’t get through to me on my phone, then you’d be SOL. Straight up. It just bogus!
God Bless the HAVES and the HAVE NOTS. #StayFocusedonwhatREALLYmatters.

….now on that note, let me say my prayers, and hit the hay. #Toodles.
