Embarking On A New Journey

I know, I know. It’s been a little minute. Chile a lot has gone on and a lot is about to happen! I’m super duper nervous. But I’m soooo excited. Like I’m so hype. But the process of it all is a drag honestly. Like, I ain’t even fitna hold you. I’m ready for that part to be ova with. But instead of complaining my way through this process I will blog, take pictures, write in my journal, and pray my way through it, while I enjoy all that is happening with my superman (husband) and our girls!

Now let me tell you about these churin (children) they booked and busy with getting up in my way. I have completely had to change my workout plan. It’s almost like they can smell me in the house once I get out of bed. I will be downstairs in the kitchen, not even for 5 minutes, and I hear Naomi coming down the stairs. Like, I know I just peeked my head in your room and you were knocked out. Why are you up at 7 o’clock in the morning Chile?

I personally like to workout first thang in the morning. I like to get up, lay in bed for a little bit, say my prayers, thank Jesus for love and life. Then I get up, check what’s going on on social media and what not. (Btw, I like to talk to God before I pick up my phone. #mindset) And then I make my way downstairs to prep for the day. I cut up my fruit. Fill up my water bottle and what not. Boil my eggs or whatever. Ya know, stuff like that. I still do that in the mornings. But my workouts have changed to about 5 o’clock in the evenings now. Ugh. But ya know what. Getting it done is better than not getting it done at all fuh me. Life of a mom. Eliana is 9 months and on the go. Naomi is just, whew Chile. That lady is a energizer bunny. Shoot she has the bunny beat. So, I just roll with the punches throughout the day. I’m just thankful at the end of the day my list is checked off and everyone is happy and healthy. #gratitude

What’s really new…

So, if you have been following me for awhile now, you know that I am on this fitness journey. (check out previous blog post and go see me on my Instagram, aprildanielle_) This is not for a moment this is a lifestyle. Naturally so I wanted to lose the baby weight after giving birth October 1st 2019. I didn’t want to just lose the weight, and then what? I wanted to take my time, be meticulous and consistent with my workouts and eating habits. I wanted to take my time mentally and physically. My body had been through the ringer. Having a second C-section was a lot on my body Chile. As some already know I don’t eat pork beef. I cut that out of my diet in 2016. (I’ll share that story later, ok.) I naturally love fruits and veggies. Whether I’m working out or not, I’m always eating fruits and veggies Chile. But with this lifestyle change, loving fruits and veggies naturally has made thangs easier fuh me. I will make a smoothie wit tons of spinach and fruits and enjoy that for a snack. I have my cucumber + shot every single morning. (I came up with the cucumber + shot because it is so many goods in this drink.) I don’t miss a beat with this beverage. It is so beneficial health wise. Get you some. I’m tryna tell you!

I got this from the commissary on base. But I am positively sure this is just about at any grocery store!

I love watermelon, pineapple, peaches, pears, apples, bananas, plums, apricots, I mean the list goes on when it comes to fruit. My oldest daughter loves every fruit too. We’ll except watermelon. It’s important to me that she is on this journey with me, and Eli’ will soon follow. Of course now all her fruit is smash and smooshed. I want my girls to understand the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle! We eat a lot of mix veggies, string beans, broccoli, brussel sprouts, asparagus, zucchini, and squash. I mean, if it’s healthy, you name it, nine times out of ten we eating it!

So yeah, that’s my life right now. We’re getting ready to embark on a new journey in many aspects while working out and eating healthy. My husband even made ice cream this past weekend just so we can have some comfort food that’s just a tad bit healthier. Team work makes the dream work. Naomi helped her Dada in the kitchen and Eli’ and me cheered them on on the side lines. #family
